Jaylor 6425

Jaylor’s Single Auger mixers offer a compact, efficient solution for farms that want consistent, high-quality TMR without the footprint of a larger machine. Using Jaylor’s patented square-cut auger, these models quickly process long fibre, blend ingredients evenly, and create a light, palatable mix animals respond to. Their simplified design makes them easy to operate, manoeuvre, and maintain, ideal for smaller herds, tighter feed pads, or farms looking to step into vertical mixing. Durable, fuel-efficient, and built for New Zealand conditions, Jaylor Single Augers deliver big performance in a streamlined package.

The Jaylor 6425 is one of the most popular mixers on the market, well suited for herds of around 275 cows — or up to 550 when feeding split herds. It is one of the most cost-effective ways to feed while maximising utilisation of the machine. A full load can be processed in under 30 minutes from the start of loading to unloading.

This single-auger mixer operates at 540 PTO rpm and requires as little as 80 hp to drive its heavy-duty planetary gearbox, which delivers an auger speed of 41 rpm. The patented slide-plate auger comes standard with nine knives, with options to add Alexander knives and lower-flight vertical knives — ideal for chopping fodder beet and other tubers. All 6000-series Jaylor mixers can be equipped with up to 13 blades per auger.

Jaylor’s low-mounted, square-cut auger design provides fast mixing times and an exceptionally consistent blend. The standard 6-ft (41-inch) chain-slat discharge elevator reduces feed build-up that commonly occurs with conveyor-belt systems. These machines also come with a generous warranty package.

Optional All Terrain Tyres

Jaylor’s new All-Terrain mixers go where other mixers can’t. With massive flotation tires and extra clearance, the new All-Terrain mixers handle mud, snow, and rugged pastures no problem.

Save time while using 20% less horsepower

Using 20% less horsepower and requiring less time per mix than conventional mixers — a Jaylor mixer reduces fuel consumption and ensures a longer operating life.

The Jaylor Auger
1
Sloped Top
Exclusive, patented design, prevents bale bridging, enabling rapid cutting and efficient mixing of even the toughest forages, enhancing overall feed quality.
2
Vertical Knives
Enhances cutting efficiency, reducing forage processing times and improving the distribution of high forage rations to ensure a cleaner, more uniform mix.
3
Slide Plate Technology
Gathers feed gently into the auger, reducing friction and cutting horsepower needs by 20%, which means lower energy costs and a smoother operation.
4
Square-Cut Edges
Patented design to reduce pressure on the mix, rapidly and efficiently process baled forage into a uniform TMR, that resists sorting and delivers consistent shaker box results.
5
Carbide-Coated Knives
Knives that stay sharp longer, thanks to their self-sharpening design. The low angle and serrated edges provide a true slicing action, reducing the need for brute force.
