Cover Crop Seeder

Kverneland A-Drill

Kverneland a-drills are designed for New Zealand farmers looking to efficiently establish cover crops or apply additional seeds and fertiliser during stubble operations. Mounted on the Kverneland e-drill, they ensure uniform distribution across the working width and are suitable for a wide range of seeds, including legumes, crucifers, and mixed covers. With flexible fan options and adjustable seed rates, they provide precise, reliable sowing while supporting sustainable and productive cropping systems in NZ.

The Kverneland a-drill has been designed for the efficient implementation of cover crops during stubble operation.
Mounted on the Kverneland e-drill, the a-drill is ready to apply an additional sort of crops or fertiliser. Two models are available:The Kverneland a-drill 200 (200l) for smaller seed rates and the Kverneland a-drill 500 (500l) for higher seed rates (25 to 50kg/ha – mix of seeds, grass, etc.). Both models have 8 outlets which will spread the flow of seeds uniformly over the working width. In addition, they can also be used for establishing rape or a mix of different diameters seeds (leguminous plant, crucifers). The a-drills can be equipped with two types of fan: The electric fan is recommended for rigid machines and fine seeds. It allows seed rates of 4 kg/min. The hydraulic fan is recommended for larger machines, high seed rates and normal seeds. It is prepared for the application of up to 14 kg/min.
